Manuscript Requirements

1. Research findings and critical analyses in the fields of biblical theology, systematic theology, historical theology, practical theology, theology of mission, Christian religious education, and pastoral counseling should be included in journal papers

2. Manuscripts that are between 5,000 and 8,000 words long and formatted in Microsoft Word must be submitted in either English or Indonesian.

3. Text Structure: The title should only be 100 characters long, be clear, succinct, and informative.  Names, institutions, and email addresses of the authors should be included.  Subheadings and the heads of the main sections must both be bold

4. Abstract and Keywords: Both Indonesian and English abstracts are required for every publication.  Abstracts ought to be thorough, one-paragraph pieces that don't go over 250 words.  Abstracts should contain pertinent keywords but not pictures, tables, footnotes, or references.

5. Introduction: Clearly state the research question and provide evidence from science. Describe the research methodology (exegesis, hermeneutics, and methodology). Provide a thesis statement that addresses theological or Christian education-related topics. Argumentative, quantitative, qualitative, and other quantifiable data analysis may be included.

6. Review of Literature and Methodology: Examine pertinent research and theory that backs up the premise. Describe methodical research techniques that are suitable for the topic. Measurement techniques are necessary for quantitative research. Appropriate techniques are necessary for qualitative research in order to produce interpretive and persuasive findings. Incorporate primary sources or expert opinions to support claims..

7. Conclusion: Summarize research findings and author arguments, Clearly address the research objectives.

8. Quotation Formatting: Single-spaced quotes more than four lines should be formatted as distinct paragraphs.  Quotation marks are used to incorporate quotes that are four lines or less into the text.

9. Using manager reference (Mendeley), the bibliography includes citations and references to the 17th (full note) edition of the Chicago Manual of Style 

10. The submission procedure.  The online open journal system is the only way for authors to submit their journal submissions.  Simultaneous submission policy: While awaiting an editorial judgment from this journal, authors are not permitted to submit their work to other journals.

11. Editorial Decision Process: After a careful assessment by reviewers, manuscripts are accepted or change requests are made.  A manuscript may be rejected for one of two reasons: either it doesn't fit the journal's emphasis or goal, or it was rejected because of reviewer recommendations.  The Open Journal System is used to disseminate editorial decisions.  Notification emails will be sent to authors directly via the system.

12. Citation and Reference Guidelines: Writers should adhere to the Turabian footnote citation style and utilize Mendeley Destop Management Software.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
